Conductivity
R. D. Laboratories, Inc.’s YSI 3200 conductivity instrument is used for testing compliance of USP purified water as well as other compendial raw materials. The instrument measures the ion-facilitated electron flow through it. This is affected by dissolved gases, mineral ions, temperature and pH. While being a non-specific measurement, its utility is in the fact that it provides a single value for these combined variables.
