R. D. Laboratories, Inc. utilizes a Bausch & Lomb refractometer to provide accurate refractive index measurements on a variety of samples.
This technique can be used for the identification of substances and detection of impurities. Determinations are performed at various temperatures including the standard 20°C and 25°C. Since the refractive index of many materials can vary significantly with temperature, accurate control is carefully maintained.
