Fluorometric Spectrophotometry
R. D. Laboratories, Inc. utilizes a Barnstead/Turner Quantech fluorometer for various fluorometric measurements. This is one of many spectrophotometric techniques used at R. D. Laboratories. Some of these are used in conjunction with HPLC. This particular fluorometer is used for stand alone determinations. It can be extremely sensitive for those compounds that emit light in an excited state after the absorption of specific radiant energy. In some cases, compounds can be derivitized in order to make them “Fluorescent”.
